This dip, without a doubt, fits the hardly homemade criteria, and it’s all the rage right now! I’ve seen many variations of Loaded Hummus floating around the internet, but I will never forget the day my good friend simplified them all and brought these ingredients over to my house. She whipped this up in a jaw dropping five minutes, and four adults and a few kids ate it all before dinner. It’s a very Greek inspired dip that’s simple, tasty and hardly a recipe, but here it goes.
The Hacks:
- Store-bought hummus
- Store-bought tzatziki sauce
- Store-bought pita chips
Loaded Hummus
Use whatever fresh herbs you have on hand, but my favorites are chives, parsley and mint.
Ingredients
- Store-bought tzatziki sauce
- Store-bought family sized container of classic hummus
- Store-bought pita chips
- 1 small cucumber (diced)
- 1 small red bell pepper (diced)
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes (diced)
- 3-4 oz crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh herbs (chives, parsley, mint or whatever you have)
Directions
- Step 1 Dice the cucumber, pepper and tomatoes and chop the herbs with a chefs knife or stack and roll and cut with scissors.
- Step 2 Spread all of the tzatziki sauce on the platter. Spread the hummus in a thin layer on top of the tzatziki sauce.
- Step 3 Sprinkle the dip with the veggies, herbs and feta cheese. Serve cold with pita chips. Enjoy!
What was better: the ease or taste of it? Or both?
